Registration problem: I can't Register more than one Child using the Same Email address.
Strivney keeps a personal score record for each student, according to the details provided on the registration form. These details need to be unique and that is why Strivney won't let you register more than one student with same email address. If you can provide another email address but have a problem confirming the registration because you won't receive the registration email, please contact us and we will confirm the registration this end. If you have a problem providing separate email addresses, please contact us.
Help! I don't know what to do in this exercise!
At the top of every exercise there are written and audio instructions, marked by the illustration below. Click on the little black arrow on the player to hear the instructions.

If it is an exercise you have not done before you will also see this picture at the top of the exercise:

Click on the picture and you will see a screen demonstration of how to do the exercise. It may take a few seconds for the demonstration to upload.
How do I get Back to the Exercise I was Working on Last Time?
The programme takes me back to the beginning.
Strivney will automatically return to the last exercise you were working on PROVIDING you select the correct link. For example, if you finish Part One of Stage A and move to Part Two, using the link at the end of Part One, the next time you enter Strivney you need to use the link to Part Two.
There's no sound!
On some browsers you may need to click on the player twice. If you still do not hear the sound, it may be that the internet connection is slow and it is taking a few moments for the sound to upload. If after a few seconds there is still no sound, try dragging the timeline on the audio player along a little, as illustrated below.

The sounds in Strivney work with the Adobe Flash Player. If you do not have this installed on your computer, you will be automatically prompted to download it for free.
The Presentations take a long Time to Load
The load time of the presentations depends on the speed of the internet connection at the time. They should generally only take a few seconds to upload. If your internet connection is very slow, you may like to continue to the next quiz, providing your child feels confident to continue without having seen the presentation.
The sound on the presentation has an echo/plays twice.
You may be using an older version of Adobe Flash player which does not support the presentation software. Please download the latest version of Adobe Flash player free.

I see a blank white page.
Usually refreshing the browser by pressing Control and F5 at the same time will solve the problem. If not, please contact us, describing at what point the blank page appeared.
Browser error in Internet Explorer 8.
If you get the message "A browser error has occurred which affects your login session", or are having problems connecting to the site in IE8, try resetting your internet settings to default. On the toolbar at the top of your web page select: Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Reset Internet Explorer Settings.
A word about Internet Explorer 6.
We realise that many people still use Internet Explorer 6, despite the fact that it is rather a dinosaur. All the exercises have been checked in IE6. However, the programme, and your general internet use, will be more efficient in a more modern browser, such as Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox. It is easy and free to upgrade your browser via the internet.
